Did You Know? Submission Policy PURPOSE: The purpose of the DID YOU KNOW? column is to get information to the public, from the public, about interesting details, facts, events or promotions happening in Marion. This is simply an optional media source to use to keep Marion residents informed. It is not intended to be used as an alternative to regular advertising. Businesses who want to succeed will see the importance of advertising via as many means as possible (including but not limited to: newspaper, TV, Radio, email dissemination, word of mouth). SCHEDULE: The DID YOU KNOW? column will be distributed via email weekly. Any individual, business or organization with a presence in Marion can submit information for the DID YOU KNOW? column. Submissions must be received by noon on Friday to appear in Monday’s edition. SUBMISSION POLICY: Information is not solicited for this column. It is the responsibility of you, your business or organization to take advantage of this service and submit the information you want disseminated. The information must be submitted in writing (email is fine) and must not make any comparisons to any competitors. (i.e. cannot say you have the best hamburgers in town or that you are the only source for baby gifts, etc.). The submissions may include specials, open houses, new products, new businesses, new services, events, trivia or other promotions that might be of interest to Marion Residents. Submissions can be made by sending an email to didyouknow@marionks.net or mailing information to 208 E Santa Fe, Marion, KS 66861. Information must be received by noon on Friday to appear in the next week’s edition. Please include a name, address, phone number and email address or website in your submission, so residents know whom to contact. DISCLAIMER: The City of Marion Reserves the right to review and edit any submissions that could be deemed inappropriate or competitive in nature. |
